What did that mean to us? Primarily the growth was driven by our customer diversification, and the largest database we managed had around 5,000,000 contacts. So we had to start using more powerful servers, to manage faster message deliveries, while maintaining database integrity also became quite a challenge.
Also in 2017 we redesigned the way in which we monitored our user behaviour on the site, increasing the accuracy of the data we collected. We made this decision after realising that in the previous modules we had failed to capture all types of behaviour. So we completely redesigned the collection methods, which helped us build a more detailed customer journey. In all this time, our nurturing projects started to become clearer on the Romanian market, in terms of both lead management and educational projects.
Remember about my review of 2016, when we had a hard time coping with leaving team mates? Well, this year we “played" and built with a different membership, we went through many stressful moments, and at the end of the year we drew the line and were surprised to find out that it had been our most profitable year.
The line is dotted because we started preparing for a complicated new year, with more and more discussions about data protection and the GDPR-wise changes that had to be made in 2018. But that is something that will be covered in our latest story.
